Fruiting Bodies
In times of strife, queer communities have uplifted and tended to each other. This is a testament to the ways in which queerness as a concept acts as a way of caring that extends beyond the self. This project is a cross-disciplinary exploration of queer ecological theory, in which human sexuality and gender is referenced through the lens of biological phenomena in flora and fauna. The fluidity of queerness conceptually, and how it physically manifests in the natural world, is expressed through performance, garment, sculpture, and jewelry.
